Titlis Rotair renews partnership with World Curling Federation

Titlis Rotair, the Swiss tourism company running cable cars and hotels, has renewed its partnership with the World Curling Federation by becoming presenting sponsor of the Capital One World Women’s Curling Championship 2011 which will take place from the 18-27 March in Esbjerg, Denmark. The agreement has been concluded by Infront Sports & Media, the exclusive media and marketing partner of the World Curling Federation.

Previously title sponsor of the Mount Titlis World Women’s Curling Championship in 2009 in Gangneung, South Korea, TITLIS ROTAIR Cableways & Hotels, is based in Engelberg, central Switzerland in the Lake Lucerne Region.

“Curling, as a team sport on ice, matches well the activities and services we offer guests coming from all over the world to Mount Titlis,” said André Küttel, Marketing Director of Titlis Rotair, “we offer a unique glacier excursion experience to learn about eternal ice.”

Küttel added: “Friendship is the word that best describes the cooperation we experienced in the past with the World Curling Federation as well as Infront Sports & Media. So we are happy to renew our partnership one more time.”

Teams that have qualified for the Capital One World Women’s Curling Championships 2011, presented by Titlis Rotair, are: Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Korea, Norway, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland and USA.

The event begins on Friday March 18th at Esbjerg’s Granly Hockey Arena and will be officially opened by Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik. More information: https://wwcc2011.com

Engelberg-Titlis, near Lake Lucerne, forms the biggest skiing and snowboarding area in Central Switzerland with 82 km of slopes, 5 cross-country ski-tracks, a 3.5 km long sledge run as well as snowshoeing and winter hiking opportunities. Thanks to the 3000 metre high Titlis glacier, it is possible to ski from October till May.
